Sleep in on Sundays…

ALL SUMMER the High School Ministry is postponing Sunday morning services and going big for the new Saturday night service at 6:30pm.

On June 7, Mariners Church added an additional Saturday Night service to create more opportunity for the people in our community to get connected to Mariners. And, in order to free up space for newcomers on the already crowded Sunday mornings, the church is promoting a switch from attending on Sunday mornings to Saturday nights.

This creates a great opportunity for us to serve the church. By attending Saturday night services, we help create room for others (both in the parking lot and in the seats) on Sunday mornings at 11am. Plus, we get to be a part of the exciting shift to Saturday services and all the new events and opportunities that arise.

The High School Ministry is investing in the Saturday service switch because we believe this will be both a blessing to the whole church and to our students specifically. The students we have talked to about the change are excited. What student doesn’t want to hang out on Saturday night!? What student doesn’t want to sleep in on Sunday morning!? What better time to invite a new friend!? Saturday night is already considered a night for friends, community, and fun in our culture – and we believe the church can play a key role in that. So…

All Summer long we are eliminating Sunday morning services and ONLY doing Saturday night services at 6:30pm. And we are going big! Free food and plenty of opportunities to hang out after. Don’t miss it.

Come to Saturday Night service at 6:30pm in room 208 (LDB).
Eat food, have fun, meet up with friends, go to church, and hang out after.
Sleep in on Sundays.

Saturday is the new Sunday.
